FY18 Assistant Marine Officer Instructor (AMOI) and Officer Candidates School (OCS) Selection Results
This MARADMIN announces the FY18 selection results for Assistant Marine Officer Instructor (AMOI) positions at NROTC units, Officer Candidates School (OCS) instructor positions, and leadership billets at Marine Corps Recruit Depots. The message lists selected Marines by name, rank, and assignment location, with report dates ranging from April 2018 to May 2019. Alternates are also identified who may be assigned based on Marine Corps needs.

1. The purpose of this MARADMIN is to announce the results of the FY18 AMOI and OCS selection board. 2. In accordance with reference (a), the board selected Marines from submitted applications based on qualifications, individual preferences, and command recommendations. Additionally, in accordance with reference (b), the board selected Marines from the available population of prior Drill Instructors for directed assignment to the remaining vacancies. 3. The following Marines have been selected as alternates and may be assigned to replace Marines selected for promotion to the rank of First Sergeant or those unable to execute orders. Selected alternates may be assigned and issued orders based on the needs of the Marine Corps and their personal request. These Marines will receive any necessary refresher training conducted by the Drill Instructor School after reporting in. Tour length for all other billets is 36 months. 12. Selected applicants that have been selected for AMOI duty will be required to attend the summer augmentation program at OCS, Quantico, VA after checking into their respective universities. 13. In accordance with reference (b), Marines that possess the 0911 Additional MOS are presumed to be qualified for assignment to Drill Instructor duty. Instructions for verifying current assignability will be included in the permanent orders issued. Commands shall identify unqualified Marines within 20 days of receipt of orders. 14.
