This MARADMIN announces the 2023 Marine Corps Aviation Association (MCAA) John Glenn Squadron Marine Aviation Acquisition Awards recipients across five categories. The awards recognize exceptional leadership and dedication to mission accomplishment in the aviation acquisition community, with a formal dinner banquet scheduled for April 27, 2023, at NAS Patuxent River, Maryland.

1. Congratulations to the following Marines on selection as the recipients of the 2023 MCAA John Glenn Squadron Marine Aviation Acquisition Awards. Each category was highly competitive, indicating exceptional leadership and dedication to mission accomplishment for all nominees. Through both personal and professional example, they have set the standard for others to emulate in the conduct of their professional activities and career development goals. Their resourcefulness, initiative and selfless dedication to duty reflected great credit upon themselves, the acquisition community and the Marine Corps.
2. The 2023 MCAA John Glenn Squadron Aviation Acquisition Award winners are:
a. Senator John h. Glenn Test Pilot/Naval Flight Officer (NFO) of the Year: Maj Daniel Jewett, Air Test and Evaluation Squadron THREE ONE (VX-31), Naval Test Wing Pacific (NTWP), Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD).
b. J.J. McCue Civilian Tester of the Year: Katherine "Kat" Sanchez, H-53 Heavy Lift Helicopters Program (PMA-261).
c. Lieutenant General Michael A. Hough Acquisition Officer of the Year: Maj David Charles, Navy and Marine Corps Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Program Office (PMA-263).
d. Thomas E. Laux Acquisition Civilian of the Year: Joanna Sockoloskie, H-53 Heavy Lift Helicopters Program (PMA-261).
e. Gunnery Sergeant Sean Joyce/Master Gunnery Sergeant Gary Leader Acquisition Staff Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO) of the Year: GySgt Justin Henry, Integrated Logistics Support Team, Advanced Weapons Laboratory (AWL), NAWCWD.
3. Citations as well as individual and permanent trophies will be presented at a formal dinner banquet in the NAS Patuxent River, Maryland area on April 27, 2023.
