Results of the Fiscal Year 2018 (FY18) Equal Opportunity Advisor (EOA) Board

This MARADMIN announces the results of the Fiscal Year 2018 Equal Opportunity Advisor (EOA) selection board held on December 13, 2017. Eight Marines (grades E6-E8) were selected to attend the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI) course at Patrick Air Force Base, Florida, with assignments to various commands including 1st MLG, 1st MARDIV, MCAS Yuma, MCB Quantico, MARFORCOM, 3rd MLG Okinawa, II MEF, and MARFORRES. One alternate was also selected.

1.  Background:  The purpose of this MARADMIN is to announce the results of the FY18 EOA selection board.  The FY18 EOA board was held on 13 December 2017.  The following applicants were selected and assigned to the following EOA classes and commands:

3.  Marines selected will attend the EOA course at the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI) at Patrick Air Force Base, Florida via Temporary Additional Duty (TAD) orders as assigned.  The course dates are as follows:

4.  All TAD and follow on PCSO/PCAO for the above listed Marines will be transmitted via separate correspondence.  Marines are required to have obligated service prior to attending DEOMI (36 months from date of graduation).  Those Marines that do not have the obligated service are required to submit via the Total Force Retention System (TFRS) 45 days prior to the class start date.  All slated class dates and future command assignments are subject to change based on the needs of the Marine Corps and the requirements of the EOA program.  Requests to retire, prior to the completion of the 36 months from date of graduation, will not receive favorable endorsement.
