Update to FY22 MOS Manual Requirement for PMOS 2621, 2631, 2641, and 2651
This MARADMIN updates the MOS Manual requirements for Primary Military Occupational Specialties (PMOS) 2621, 2631, 2641, and 2651 by replacing the suspended Tactical SIGINT Operators Course (TSOC) with the newly approved Basic Signals Operator Course (BSOC) effective February 2022. The change affects the second MOS requirement for these SIGINT-related specialties and aligns with new MOS training track changes for Entry Level Training routing.
Issued: February 18, 2022
1. Purpose. Per reference (A), the Marine Corps Director of Intelligence suspended the 26XX MOS ascension requirement of completing the Tactical SIGINT Operators Course (TSOC; CID F07CVT1) for FY21 with the intent of reinstating the course in FY22. 2. Background. Training & Readiness (T&R) event changes from the 2020 SIGINT out of cycle T&R review were used to adjust the TSOC curriculum which received approval as the Basic Signals Operator Course (BSOC; CID F07CVT1). 3. Execution. The resultant MOS production changes are as follows: 3.a. BSOC is hereby instated as the replacement for TSOC for PMOSs 2621, 2631, 2641, 2651 and NMOS 2623 as of February 2022. This action is taken in coordination with Training and Education Command, Manpower & Reserve Affairs, and Marine Corps Intelligence Schools. 3.b. This change will reflect in the FY22 MOS Manual as the second MOS requirement for obtaining PMOS 2621, 2631, 2641, 2651, and NMOS 2623. This sequence change from MOS requirement 1 to 2 coincides with MOS training track changes that will drive the Recruit Distribution Model in routing Marines for Entry Level Training. 3.c. All other 26XX MOS requirements in refence (B) remain in effect. 4. Direct all questions to MARADMIN POCs. 5. Release authorized by MajGen W. H. Seely III, Director of Information Intelligence Division, Deputy Commandant for Information.
