February 2018 Promotions for First Sergeant and Master Sergeant
This MARADMIN announces the promotion of the first 300 Marines selected for First Sergeant and Master Sergeant with an effective date of rank of February 1, 2018. Commanders must obtain concurrence from the parent command before promoting Marines in temporary additional duty status.

1. In accordance with references (a) through (C), the first 300 Marines for the FY18 Approved Selections to First Sergeant and Master Sergeant will have an effective date of rank of 1 February 2018. In accordance with reference (b), commanders who have Marines attached to their command/unit/det in temporary additional duty status must seek concurrence from the Marines parent command prior to effecting the promotion. 2. This MARADMIN will be used as the promotion authority. 3. All other provisions remain the same. 4. Release authorized by MajGen Robert F. Castellvi, Director, Manpower Management Division.
