Fiscal Year 2023 Casualty Assistance Calls Officer Training Roadshow

This MARADMIN announces the Fiscal Year 2023 Casualty Assistance Calls Officer (CACO) Training Roadshow, which will provide training on casualty reporting, notification procedures, mortuary affairs, benefits and entitlements, and related topics at various Marine Corps installations throughout FY23. The training roadshow will visit 10 locations from March through June 2023, with additional Casualty Assistance Command Representative (CACR) training at select sites.

1.  Situation.  Throughout Fiscal Year 2023 (FY23), the Casualty Section (MFPC) will train the fleet via the Casualty Assistance Calls Officer (CACO) Training Roadshow.<br>
2.  Mission.  Through the remainder of FY23, MFPC shall provide training on casualty reporting, notification procedures, mortuary affairs, specifics on benefits and entitlements, grief and trauma awareness, investigations processing, and personal effects processing. Additional training will be provided to further educate Casualty Assistance Command Representatives (CACRs) at select locations.<br>
3.  Execution<br>
    a.  Intent.  Provide aforementioned training and opportunities for Marines to discuss ongoing initiatives and issues with MFP Staff.<br>
    b.  Concept of Operations.  MFPC leadership will coordinate with host command Site Coordinator to schedule CACO and CACR training at specified locations.  Key leader engagements with host commands will be scheduled prior to each visit.<br>

       (2) Briefs.  Briefs will be forwarded two weeks in advance of the training to the Site Coordinator for each location.<br>
4.  Administration and Logistics<br>
    a.  Administration.  Host command Site Coordinators will execute detailed planning via separate correspondence with the MFPC Operations Officer.  Letters of instruction for each location shall be submitted to MFPC no less than 45 days prior to the training date.  Commands that are not able to attend training may request training at a later date but will be required to fund MFPC travel if supportable.<br>
    b.  Logistics.  Host commands shall provide adequate facilities and communication assets to support the training as well as any engagements between MFPC staff and key leaders.<br>
5.  Command and Signal<br>
    a.  Command.  Applicable to total force.<br>
    b.  Signal.  Host Command Site Coordinators shall serve as the primary point of contact for MFPC and area attendance coordination. Units located in proximity to scheduled training may contact the MFPC Operations Officer, Captain Jeremy Bird, for applicable Site Coordinator contact information.<br>
