Change 2 to Fiscal Year 2017 (FY17) Inactive Duty Training (IDT) Travel Reimbursement

This MARADMIN announces Change 2 to the FY17 Inactive Duty Training (IDT) Travel Reimbursement policy, modifying eligibility criteria for Marine officers and adding JTAC personnel to the authorized list. The changes clarify that officers at regiment/group level or below and Civil Affairs Group members are eligible, and company grade officers and majors serving at these levels qualify for reimbursement.

1.  This MARADMIN announces the following changes to reference (a):
    a.  The following is a change to paragraph 3c(1) to read:  Marine officers assigned to an SMCR unit at the regiment/group level or below, or to a Civil Affairs Group (CAG) are eligible.
    b.  The following is a change to paragraph 3d(4) to read:  Officers.  Company grade officers and majors that are serving at the regiment/group level or below.
    c.  The following is added to paragraph 3e to read:  (5) Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC).  Marines with an additional MOS of 8002 serving in a JTAC BIC as a grade match in accordance with paragraph 3b are authorized.
    d.  Paragraphs 4b and 4c are deleted.
