United States Marine Corps Motor Transport Awards Program (MCMTAP) 2017 Award Winners

This MARADMIN announces the 2017 United States Marine Corps Motor Transport Awards Program (MCMTAP) winners across 12 categories, including officers, NCOs, operators, maintenance technicians, instructors, and units. The Marine Corps Association and Foundation (MCAF) is sponsoring the awards, which will be presented in local ceremonies rather than at a formal banquet, with coordination through MEF G-4 motor transport offices and local MCAF representatives.

1.  The Commandant of the Marine Corps congratulates the following individuals and units for selection as the award recipients of the 2017 United States Marine Corps Motor Transport Awards Program (MTAP) for the categories indicated.  As specified in reference a, an annual awards board is convened to review nominations from throughout the Marine Corps and select award recipients.  All those nominated are deserving of congratulations and rate special recognition.  Award recipients are (Read in three columns):<br>

2.  The sponsor for the 2017 awards is the Marine Corps Association and Foundation (MCAF).  Due to time constraints and prior discussions with the MCAF, an awards banquet will not be held.  The absence of a formal awards banquet does not detract from the importance of the awards and the requirement to present in appropriate local ceremonies.<br>
2.a.  I and II Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) G-4 motor transport offices, MCCSSS and MCAGCC will coordinate with the local MCAF representative listed below for delivery of awards and follow-on presentation (Read in four columns):<br>

2.b.  Awards for individual Marines in III MEF commands will be mailed to III MEF G-4 motor transport office.  III MEF G-4 motor transport office will coordinate for follow on presentation.<br>
3.  This year award selection process was challenging due to the highly competitive nominees for each category.  Commands are encouraged to continue to nominate individuals and units best representative of the motor transport community.  All those nominated are deserving of our respect and rate special recognition.  Congratulations to all the nominees.<br>
