Call for Participation in the 2019 Officer Women Leadership Symposium
This MARADMIN announces the 2019 Officer Women Leadership Symposium (OWLS) to be held April 23-25, 2019, at the Women's Memorial in Arlington, VA. The symposium provides military women opportunities for networking, professional development, and mentorship through keynote speeches, workshops, and panel discussions. HQMC M&RA will sponsor a limited number of conference fees and travel expenses on a first-come, first-served basis.

1. The 2019 Officer Women Leadership Symposium(OWLS) will be held on 23-25 April 2019 at the Women's Memorial in Arlington, VA. HQMC M&RA Equal Opportunity and Diversity Management (MPE) will sponsor a limited number of conference/registration fees and all travel expenses. <br> 2. The Officer Women Leadership Symposium provides military women the opportunity to network with like-minded colleagues and to grow professionally and personally through keynote messages, workshops and panel discussions. The speakers are leaders from the military, public and private sectors who offer their support and personal advice. Participants will have tremendous opportunities for mentorship, while connecting with veteran and current military women at every level of leadership and from every military branch of service. OWLS is a non-federal entity wholly independent of the Marine Corps. More information can be found on the Academy Women website at www.MilitaryOWLS.org. <br> 3. Admin and Logistics: Commanders may authorize Temporary Additional Duty for Marines, civilian Marines, and Sailors who are attached to their unit. Local travel is authorized for members in the local area. All Marine Corps funded participation must be coordinated through the MPE Branch. Reservations will be given on a first-come first-served basis. Rental cars are not authorized. Commands are not authorized to use command funding for rental cars.<br> 4. To attend this event please email (via your OIC) your name, rank, unit, and duty station to the POCs.<br> 5. Uniform of the day: Service C.<br> 6.
