Solicitation of Enlisted Applications for Service with the Active Reserve (AR)
This MARADMIN announces that enlisted Marines seeking to serve with the Active Reserve will now be selected through direct selection by HQMC (RAM) rather than the previous process. Applications may be submitted at any time, and information about available billets and application procedures is available at www.manpower.usmc.mil/joinar. This policy change does not apply to officers, who will continue to be selected through the board process.

1. EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, ACCESSION FOR ENLISTED MARINES TO THE ACTIVE RESERVE IS VIA DIRECT SELECTION BY HQMC (RAM). THIS POLICY SUPERSEDES CURRENT GUIDANCE IN REF (A) AND WILL BE INCORPORATED AS A CHANGE TO THE EXISTING ORDER. 2. THIS MARADMIN SOLICITS APPL FROM QUALIFIED ENLISTED MARINES FOR SELECTION TO AN INITIAL TOUR WITH THE ACTIVE RESERVE. 3. APPLICATIONS MAY BE SUBMITTED AT ANY TIME. 4. AVAILABLE BILLETS, APPLICATIONS AND INFORMATION REGARDING THE ACTIVE RESERVE ARE POSTED AT WWW.MANPOWER.USMC.MIL/JOINAR THIS POLICY CHANGE DOES NOT APPLY TO OFFICERS. AR OFFICER ACCESSION WILL CONTINUE TO BE VIA BOARD PROCESS.
