Captain Lopez was selected by a board of field grade officers from Marine Forces Reserve commands after thorough deliberation among nominees with exemplary leadership records.

1. In accordance with reference (a), Captain Ismael R. Lopez is to be congratulated as the selected recipient of the Calendar Year (CY) 2016 Chambers Award for Outstanding Leadership. Captain Lopez is assigned to 4th Civil Affairs Group (4th CAG), Force Headquarters Group (FHG). 2. Captain Lopez was selected after thorough deliberation by a board of field grade officers from commands across Marine Forces Reserve. CY 2016 nominees had exemplary records which indicate noteworthy leadership and ability. 3. Additional information and coordinating instructions regarding the presentation of the award will be forwarded via separate correspondence. 4.
