2022 Field Music Billet Selections for Necessary Military Occupational Specialty (NMOS) 5523 Instrument Repair Technician
This MARADMIN announces the selection of two Staff Sergeants (SSgt Callihan and SSgt Hershey) for assignment to Marine Corps Field Music NMOS 5523 (Instrument Repair Technician). The selectees will attend training at Minnesota State College Southeast from August 2022 to May 2023 and must accept a two-year service obligation.

1. The following Marines have been selected for assignment to the Marine Corps Field Music NMOS 5523: 1. Name Rank/MCC 1.a. Callihan, Benjamin E. SSgt/122 1.b. Hershey III, William F. SSgt/012 2. The Marines listed on this message will have the approved NMOS entered in Mainframe Terminal Emulation Client (3270). 3. This training program convenes at Minnesota State College Southeast, Red Wing Campus/Red Wing, MN. 4. Marines will be administratively assigned to Echo Company, SITE SPT 4th LE BN (D10), Saint Paul, MN. 5. Selectees who accept assignment to the training will incur (two) years of obligated service in order to report with a minimum of 24 months remaining on contract upon graduation (on or around 15 May 2023) Each Marine requires a page 11 entry prior to execution of the orders to document acceptance of the obligated service commitment. 6. PCS orders will be coordinated via separate correspondence by Enlisted Assignments Branch (MMEA) and the 55XX OccFld Sponsor. OccFld Sponsor will assist in the submission of any applicable time on station waivers. 7. Selectees should expect to report on or about 15 August 2022 in time for orientation.
