2018 Marine Corps Ground Safety Awards Recipients
This MARADMIN announces the recipients of the 2018 Marine Corps Ground Safety Awards, recognizing commands and individuals for outstanding contributions to safety, mishap prevention, and force preservation during fiscal year 2018. Awards include the Marine Corps Warrior Preservation Award, Individual Superior Achievement in Safety Awards for officer, enlisted, and civilian categories, and Achievement in Safety Awards across four groups.

1. I am pleased to announce the recipients of the 2018 Marine Corps Ground Safety Awards, recognizing commands and individuals for their significant contributions and accomplishments in the field of safety, mishap prevention, and force preservation during fiscal year 2018.<br>

3. Marine Corps Individual Superior Achievement in Safety Awards:<br>
a. Officer: Capt Andrew W. Baity, HMLAT-303<br>
b. Enlisted: Sgt Benjamin T. Music VMFA-323<br>
c. Civilian: Mr. Christopher S. Field, 2d Marine Division<br>
4. Marine Corps Achievement in Safety Awards:<br>
a. Group I: Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point<br>
b. Group II: Marine Corps Air Station, Beaufort<br>
c. Group III: Marine Depot Maintenance Command<br>
d. Group IV: 1st Reconnaissance Battalion<br>
5. The respective Commanding General will present unit and individual awards on behalf of the Commandant of the Marine Corps. Administrative and logistical information will be provided separately by CMC Safety Division (SD).<br>
6. All nominees are commended for the significant contributions made towards reducing mishaps, increasing mission readiness, and preserving our most precious asset – our Marines, Sailors, and Civilian Marines. Congratulations to all for a job well done.<br>
