Fiscal Year 2024 Acquisition Command Screening: Selection of the Commanding Officer, Marine Aviation Detachment, Naval Air Station Patuxent River
This MARADMIN announces the selection of Colonel Jason T. Duke (MOS 8059) as the Commanding Officer of Marine Aviation Detachment, Naval Air Station Patuxent River, following a fiscal year 2024 acquisition command screening conducted by a three-general officer panel on February 7, 2024. The selectee must accept or decline the position by April 5, 2024, and is required to attend the Cornerstone: Commandant's Combined Commandership Course prior to or shortly after assuming command.

1. On 7 February 2024, a panel consisting of three General Officers convened to screen eligible colonels for assignment to colonel acquisition command as the Commanding Officer of Marine Aviation Detachment, Naval Air Station Patuxent River.<br>
2. Command screening ensures that Marines receive the best possible leadership while providing all eligible officers with a fair and equitable opportunity to compete for command.<br>

4.b. The officer slated to command will schedule his attendance to the Cornerstone: Commandant's Combined Commandership Program prior to, or shortly after, assuming command.
