United States Marine Corps Ammunition Awards Program (MCAAP) 2018 Winners
This MARADMIN announces the 2018 Marine Corps Ammunition Awards Program (MCAAP) winners across four categories: Ammunition Officer, Staff NCO, NCO, and Technician of the Year. The recipients will be honored at an awards reception on May 22, 2019, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Woodbridge, Virginia, sponsored by the Marine Corps Association and Foundation.

1. The Commandant of the Marine Corps congratulates the following individuals for their selections as the recipients of the 2018 United States Marine Corps Ammunition Awards Program for the categories as indicated. As specified in Reference B, an annual awards board was convened to review nominations from throughout the Marine Corps and select award recipients. All Marines nominated are deserving of congratulations and rate special recognition. 2. The winners are indicated by listing the award, winner and nominating command. 2.a. Ammunition Officer of the year award winner is Captain Brandon J. Carroll, Div Hqtrs, 1st Marine Division. 2.b. Ammunition Technician Staff Non-Commissioned Officer of the year award winner is Gunnery Sergeant Jeremy R. Masters, MARFORPAC. 2.c. Ammunition Technician Non-Commissioned Officer of the year award winner is Sergeant Jeancarlos Guerrero, 3d Bn, 8th Marines, 2d Marine Division. 2.d. Ammunition Technician of the year award winner is Corporal Kyle B. Martin, 3d Bn, 8th Marines, 2d Marine Division. 3. The sponsor for this year's award is the Marine Corps Association and foundation (MCA). The recipients will be honored during an awards reception at the Hilton Garden Inn, Woodbridge, Virginia on 22 May 2019. 4. This year's award selection process was challenging due to the highly competitive nominees for each category. Commands are encouraged to continue to nominate individuals that they feel best represents the ammunition community.
