FY 2024 Meritorious Promotions for Selected Marine Corps Reserve (SMCR) Staff Noncommissioned Officers (SNCO)

1.  Per reference (a), Marines who are selected to the ranks of SSgt through SgtMaj/MGySgt, to include meritorious promotions, must have at least 24-months of obligated service (OBS) remaining on contract beginning on the date of their promotion.  For Reserve Component (RC) Marines, this refers to the Marines' Reserve End of Current Contract (RECC).  Commands must inform MMPB-11 if a Marine refuses to extend or reenlist to have OBS.<br>
1.a.  Marines listed in paragraph 2 need a RECC of 2 April 2026 for promotion.<br>
1.b.  Commanding Officers are authorized to locally extend Marines who are identified as not being in compliance with OBS requirements.<br>
1.c.  Commanding Officers are not authorized to extend Marines with a draw case code (DCC) of AF, AH, AX, or AY.  Marines with those DCCs must submit their extension to MMEA (HQMC) via the Total Force Retention System for appropriate action.<br>
1.d.  Marines in a medical status, to include limited duty or pending evaluation by a PEB and meet all other requirements are eligible for promotion without an extension.<br>
2.  In accordance with references (a) through (f), authority is granted to meritoriously promote the Marines listed below with a date of rank and effective date of 2 April 2024 in accordance with reference (g).<br>
