Primary Caregiver Survey

This MARADMIN announces the release of the Primary Caregiver Survey to gather Marine Corps-wide input on parental leave programs including the Career Intermission Program, Military Parental Leave Program, and Annual Leave entitlements. The survey is open to all Active Duty and Active Reserve Marines regardless of rank, MOS, or parental status, and results will directly impact future HQMC policy initiatives.

1.  Purpose.  This MARADMIN announces the release of the Primary Caregiver Survey to determine what Marines think is the necessary amount of time off to address near-term parental requirements after the birth or adoption of a child.
2.  Headquarters Marine Corps wants Marines' input concerning the use of the Career Intermission Program (CIP), the Military Parental Leave Program (MPLP), and Annual Leave entitlements.  The survey consists of seven questions involving the aforementioned programs and entitlement.  The survey is open to Active Duty and Active Reserve Marines of every rank and MOS, birthparent and non-birthparents, and those who do not currently have children.
3.  The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete and can be accessed online at https:(SLASH)(SLASH)go.max.gov/dod/PrimaryCaregiverSurvey.
4.  The opinions of Marines matter for potential policy changes.  Thus, we encourage maximum participation for the Primary Caregiver Survey. The results of this survey will have a direct impact on HQMC policy initiatives.
5.  This MARADMIN is applicable to Active Component and Active Reserve.
