Availability of Marine Corps Tactical Publication (MCTP) 3-03B (Formerly MCWP 3-33.8), Peace Operations

This MARADMIN announces the availability of the revised Marine Corps Tactical Publication (MCTP) 3-03B, Peace Operations (formerly MCWP 3-33.8), dated 1 March 2019. The publication provides multi-Service tactics, techniques, and procedures for planning and executing peace operations at the tactical level and is available for electronic download via the USMC doctrine website and ALSA website.

1.  The Deputy Commandant for Combat Development and Integration, Capabilities Development Directorate (CDD) and the Air Land Sea Application (ALSA) Center have published the revised Marine Corps Tactical Publication (MCTP) 3-03B, Peace Operations, dated 1 Mar 2019.  This publication was previously designated MCWP 2-33.8.  MCTP 3-03B may be downloaded via the USMC doctrine website https:(slash)(slash)homeport.usmc.mil/ sites/mcdoctrine/SitePages/Home.aspx. The publication can also be found on the ALSA website at http:(slash)(slash)www.alsa.mil.<br>
2.  Background.  This publication provides multi-Service tactics, techniques, and procedures (MTTP) for planning and executing peace operations, with a focus on the tactical level.  It serves as a focal point, guiding readers to existing tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) and provides TTPs where gaps exist.  This publication offers readers a basic understanding of joint and multinational considerations, an overview of the nature and fundamentals, and a detailed discussion of selected military tasks associated with peace operations.  To a limited degree, this publication provides training objectives for the proper execution of peace operations for commanders and their staffs.  This publication supplements joint publication 3-07.3, Peace Operations, which is written at the operational level.<br>
3.  Coordinating instructions.  Reference (a) details steps required to request publication hard copies.  However, this publication will be disseminated via electronic distribution only unless commanders submit compelling needs as justification for printed copies.  Units requiring print allocations must follow procedures identified in reference (a), paragraph 4a(2).  For Marine Corps Publication Distribution System (MCPDS) identification purposes, the publication control number is 147 000057 00.<br>
4.  This MARADMIN is applicable to the Marine Corps Total Force.<br>
