Selection Board Results for Senior Enlisted Attendance at Marine Corps Command and Staff College (MCCSC) During Academic Year (AY) 17-18

This MARADMIN announces the selection board results for senior enlisted Marines to attend the Marine Corps Command and Staff College (MCCSC) during Academic Year 2017-18. Two Sergeants Major/Master Gunnery Sergeants were selected for the 10-month intermediate-level professional military education program, which runs from July 27, 2017 to June 6, 2018.

1. Purpose. To announce the results of the selection board for senior enlisted attendance at MCCSC which convened on 8 February 2017. This board convened to select the best fully qualified eligible sergeants major or master gunnery sergeants to attend as students at MCCSC per reference (a). MCCSC is a 10-month
intermediate level professional military education program focusing on warfighting within the context of operational art.  
2.  The selection board received numerous submissions. The quality of senior enlisted leaders who applied was exceptional, and the competition for school seats was excellent. Any applicants not accepted on this board are encouraged to apply for the following academic year, 2018-2019.
3.  Primary selectees are:

4.  All Marines selected must notify the two Marine Corps University POCs listed above and their primary MOS monitor of acceptance of this assignment via email no later than 14 days from the date of this MARADMIN. Refer to reference (b) as necessary.
5.  Administration and Logistics

5.B.  This 10-month program commences on 27 July 2017 and graduates on 6 June 2018.
5.C.  Upon completion of MCCSC, the Marine is ineligible to request retirement for at least 36 months which should be noted on the Administrative Action (AA) Form.
