Availability of MCRP 3-10E.7, Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures for Field Artillery Target Acquisition
This MARADMIN announces the availability of Marine Corps Reference Publication (MCRP) 3-10E.7, Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures for Field Artillery Target Acquisition, approved on 1 March 2021. The publication provides guidance on managing field artillery target acquisition organizations, systems, personnel, and equipment, and is primarily intended for the artillery community and Marine Air-Ground Task Force commanders and staff involved in targeting processes.

The Commanding Officer, Marine Corps Artillery Detachment, Fort Sill, Training Command, approved Marine Corps Reference Publication (MCRP) 3-10E.7, Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures for Field Artillery Target Acquisition, on 1 March 2021. MCRP 3-10E.7 is available via the USMC doctrine website https:(slash)(slash)homeport.usmc.mil/sites/mcdoctrine/SitePages/Home.aspx. 2. Background. On 8 July 2020, the Commanding General (CG), Training and Education Command (TECOM) authorized select O-6 commanders, directors, and special staff to manage, author, and approve the doctrine and training publications assigned to them to improve the overall timeliness of publication. CG TECOM assigned Commanding Officer, Marine Corps Artillery Detachment, Fort Sill as the manager of this publication. 3. MCRP 3-10E.7, Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures for Field Artillery Target Acquisition, contains the organization, tactics, techniques, and procedures required to manage field artillery target acquisition organizations, systems, personnel, and equipment. The target audience for this publication is primarily the artillery community, but it also applies to Marine Air-Ground Task Force commanders and staff personnel in the command, ground combat, aviation combat, and logistics combat elements involved in the targeting and target acquisition process. This publication supersedes MCRP 3-16.1A dated 21 June 2002; and cancels change 1 dated 4 April 2018 and erratum dated 2 May 2016. 4. Coordinating instructions. Units requiring print allocations must follow procedures identified in reference (a), paragraphs 4.a.2.a.2.b and 4.a.2.a.c. MCRP 3-10E.7 is marked with the following Distribution Statement: "Distribution E - Distribution Authorized to DoD Components Only" Non-DOD entities seeking copies of, or access to, MCRP 3-10E.7 must submit a request to the Marine Corps Artillery Detachment, Fort Sill, Training Command, Training and Education Command. 5.
