Name Change to Opportunity, Diversity, and Inclusion Branch
The Deputy Commandant for Manpower and Reserve Affairs has authorized changing the name of the Equal Opportunity and Diversity Management Branch to the Opportunity, Diversity, and Inclusion Branch. The new name better reflects the branch's current roles and responsibilities in promoting an equitable, inclusive, and effective Marine Corps organization, while the branch code (MPE) and contact information remain unchanged.

1. The Deputy Commandant for Manpower and Reserve Affairs has authorized the name change of the Equal Opportunity and Diversity Management Branch to Opportunity, Diversity, and Inclusion Branch.
2. The new name encompasses the current roles and responsibilities assumed by the Branch, and characterizes the Marine Corps(') ongoing advocacy for building and maintaining an equitable, inclusive, and effective organization. Through both the appropriate administration of regulatory requirements and the promotion of leadership development initiatives, MPE remains committed to leveraging the talents and capabilities of all Marines.
3. Utilize the new name on all correspondence directed to MPE Branch. The Branch code (MPE) remains the same.
