Remaining Fiscal Year 2016 (FY16) Active Reserve (AR) Opportunities for Enlisted Marines
This MARADMIN announces remaining FY16 Active Reserve (AR) program opportunities for enlisted Marines in ranks Lance Corporal through Sergeant. The AR program provides full-time Reserve Component positions with active duty pay and benefits, including potential active duty retirement, for specific Military Occupational Specialties (MOS) with current openings.

1. Purpose. To announce remaining FY16 active duty opportunities available to enlisted Marines through the AR Program. Applications continue to be accepted for remaining MOS requirements.<br>
2. Background. Per reference (a), the AR Program provides a cadre of experienced, well trained, full time Reserve Component (RC) Marines to facilitate the integration of the Marine Corps Total Force. Benefits include career opportunities with active duty pay and entitlements, including potential to attain active duty retirement benefits. References (a) and (b) identify specific prerequisites for service in the AR Program. Reference (c) contains FY16 AR Enlisted mission requirements.<br>
3. Information<br>
a. Applications are processed through a Prior Service Recruiter (PSR). Interested Marines unfamiliar with the supporting PSR in their area can contact MCRC PSR Operations at MCRC-PSR(AT)marines.usmc.mil or (703) 784-9782 for referralinformation.<br>
b. Rank and Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) requirements. Marines in the ranks of Lance Corporal through Sergeant are eligible to apply. Remaining FY16 MOS requirements are as follows:<br>

c. Limited lateral move (retraining) allocations are available. The PSR shall provide relevant details.<br>
d. Affiliation bonuses are available for certain rank and MOS combinations.<br>
e. Active component Marines may submit an application up to 180 days prior to End of Active Service (EAS). However, anyone interested is encouraged to contact a PSR up to 9 months prior to EAS.<br>
