Fiscal Year 2024 Enlisted Marine Option Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps Scholarship Results
This MARADMIN announces the results of the Fiscal Year 2024 Enlisted Marine Option Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) Scholarship Program. Four enlisted Marines (LCPL Cervantes, CPL Rogina, LCPL Sabillon, and CPL Shefchik) have been selected to receive NROTC scholarships and will transition from their current units to assigned NROTC units to pursue officer commissioning through college programs.

1. This MARADMIN announces those enlisted Marines who were selected per reference (D) to receive a Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) scholarship. Per reference (A) Marines will remain with their present unit until all qualifications are met. Prior to issuance of orders, the selectees must be found physically qualified by the Department of the Defense Medical Examination Review Board (DODMERB).<br> 2.b. Once determined qualified, Permanent Change of Station orders will be immediately issued by the Commandant of the Marine Corps (MMEA-85) for Regular Component Marines to proceed to their assigned NROTC units. Reserve Units will issue orders to Reserve Marines. Any scheduled follow on schools or training events shall not prevent a selected applicant from attending required orientations and the commencement of their college classes.<br> 2.c. Per reference (B) the day before classes begin the Marines will be issued a DD Form 214 with the separation code of KGX2 in box 26 and narrative reason for separation is "enter officer training program" and is released from Active Duty to the Individual Ready Reserve. Administration guidance provided by reference (C) applies.<br> 3. Orders may be declined in writing or by request. Requests should be sent to the above listed MCRC point of contact and to the NROTC Scholarship Placement Office at GRLK_NROTC.Placement@us.navy.mil.<br> 4.
