Availability of MCDP 1-0, Change 2, Marine Corps Operations
This MARADMIN announces the publication of MCDP 1-0, Marine Corps Operations, Change 2, dated 29 March 2019, which adds "Information" as the seventh Marine Corps warfighting function. The updated doctrinal publication is available for download via the Marine Corps doctrine website and is applicable to the entire Marine Corps Total Force.

1. The Deputy Commandant, Combat Development and Integration, has published Marine Corps Doctrinal Publication (MCDP) 1-0, Marine Corps Operations, change 2, dated 29 March 2019. MCDP 1-0, Marine Corps Operations, change 2, is available for download via the United States Marine Corps doctrine website at https:(slash)(slash)homeport.usmc.mil/sites/mcdoctrine/SitePages/Home.aspx. 2. Background 2.A. Change 2 to MCDP 1-0, Marine Corps Operations, adds the warfighting function "Information" to the warfighting functions that are listed and discussed in appendix (B) of this publication. "Information", as a warfighting function, has been approved by the CMC, (see reference (b)). Reference (b) also directs change 2 to be made to MCDP 1-0 adding "information" as a warfighting function. 2.B. This introduces the information warfighting function into the doctrinal hierarchy. Revisions to other doctrinal publications will need to be made to reflect this new warfighting function. 3. Coordinating Instructions. Reference (a) details steps required to request publication hard copies. 4. This MARADMIN is applicable to Marine Corps Total Force. 5. Release authorized by Lieutenant General D. H.
