CY 2020 Kallstrom and Security/Emergency Services Civilian Award Recipients

This MARADMIN announces the recipients of the CY 2020 Jim Kallstrom Awards and Marine Corps Security/Emergency Services (S/ES) Civilian Awards. Four individuals are recognized for outstanding leadership, bravery, civilian marine of the year, and lifesaving actions within the Marine Corps security and emergency services community.

1.  Purpose.  This message announces the recipients of the 2020 Jim Kallstrom Awards and the Marine Corps Security and Emergency Services (S/ES) Civilian Awards.  Reference (a) announced the CY2020 Kallstrom and Security-Emergency Services Civilian Awards and solicited nominees.
2.  The following awardees should take pride in their selection for these awards, as they are based on their outstanding professional competence, exemplary leadership skills, significant contributions, and heroic or lifesaving actions.
2.A.  The Jim Kallstrom Award for outstanding leadership is awarded to Master Sergeant Brian N. Burgess, Provost Marshal Office, Security and Emergency Services Battalion, Camp Pendleton, California.
2.B.  The Jim Kallstrom Award for bravery is awarded to Lance Corporal Noelle Davis, Provost Marshal Office, Headquarters and Support Battalion, Marine Corps Base Camp Butler.
2.C.  The S/ES Civilian Marine of the Year Award recipient is Mr. Keith E. Simas, Services Officer, Security Battalion, Marine Corps Base Quantico.
2.D.  The recipient of the S/ES Civilian Lifesaving Award is Police Officer Karl V. Bobbio, Provost Marshal Office, Marine Corps Air Station Yuma.
3.  Awardees and their commands will be contacted via SEPCOR for award presentation and coordinating instructions.
4.  Release authorized by SES Randy R. Smith, Assistant Deputy Commandant for Plans, Policies and Operations (Security).
