Call for Participation in the 2022 National Naval Officers Association Professional Development and Training Symposium

This MARADMIN announces the 2022 National Naval Officers Association (NNOA) Professional Development and Training Symposium, scheduled for July 25-29, 2022, at the Westin Annapolis Hotel in Annapolis, MD. The Marine Corps will sponsor conference fees and travel expenses for up to 100 participants through the Opportunity, Diversity, and Inclusion Branch (MPE). Marines, civilian Marines, and Sailors attached to Marine units are encouraged to submit participation requests through their chain of command by July 18, 2022.

1.  This MARADMIN announces the 2022 National Naval Officers' Association (NNOA) Professional Development and Training Symposium from 25-29 July 2022 at the Westin Annapolis Hotel located in Annapolis, MD.<br>
2.  NNOA's mission is to enhance Sea Service operational readiness by supporting recruiting, professional development, and retention in an effort to achieve a diverse officer corps that reflects the demographics of our Nation.  This year's theme is, "NNOA 50th:  Forging into the Future."<br>
3.  The Opportunity, Diversity, and Inclusion Branch (MPE) will sponsor 100 participants' conference/registration fees and all travel expenses.  Commanders are encouraged to authorize Temporary Additional Duty (TAD) for Marines, civilian Marines, and Sailors attached to Marine units to attend.  Local travel is authorized for members in the local area.  All Marine Corps funded participation will be coordinated through MPE.  Rental cars are not authorized.<br>
4.  Requests to participate in this event should be emailed to the group mailbox MPE_Outreach@usmc.mil via your Officer-in-Charge and include the following information:  name, rank, EDIPI, unit, email, and duty station.  Submit requests to participate no later than 18 July 2022.<br>

6.  NNOA is a non-federal entity wholly independent of the Marine Corps.<br>
