FY04 Commandant of the Marine Corps Career Retention Specialist of the Year Award

This MARADMIN announces the FY04 Commandant of the Marine Corps Career Retention Specialist of the Year Award, which recognizes outstanding performance among career retention specialists and career planners. Nominations for sergeants through gunnery sergeants must be submitted by August 6, 2004, with the winner to be announced no later than September 5, 2004.

SCHEDULE OF NOMINATIONS FOR THE FY04 COMMANDANT OF THE MARINE CORPS
CAREER RETENTION SPECIALIST OF THE YEAR AWARD.
2. THE REF ESTABLISHED THE SUBJECT AWARD TO RECOGNIZE
OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE IN THE PROFESSIONAL CAREER RETENTION
SPECIALIST FORCE AND TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE IMPORTANCE OF THE CAREER
PLANNING EFFORT TOWARDS MAINTAINING AN EFFECTIVE CAREER FIGHTING
FORCE.
3. NOMINATIONS WILL BE PREPARED PER THE REFERENCE AND MUST BE
RECEIVED BY THE CMC (MMEA-6) NLT 6 AUG 04. NOMINATIONS MAY BE FOR
SGT THROUGH GYSGT PRIMARY MILITARY OCCUPATIONAL SPECIALTY CAREER
RETENTION SPECIALISTS OR CAREER PLANNERS SERVING ON A B-BILLET. 
4. A SELECTION BOARD WILL CONVENE ON OR ABOUT 19 AUG 04 TO
NOMINATE THE CAREER RETENTION SPECIALIST OF THE YEAR. THE MARINE
SELECTED AS THE CAREER RETENTION SPECIALIST OF THE YEAR WILL BE
ANNOUNCED VIA MARADMIN MESSAGE NLT 5 SEP 04.
5. THE REF IS AVAILABLE ON THE TOTAL FORCE RETENTION SYSTEM
(TFRS) TO ALL CAREER RETENTION SPECIALISTS.
