Announcement of the Fiscal Year 2022 Class Dates for the Regional Staff Noncommissioned Officer Academies
This MARADMIN announces the Fiscal Year 2022 class dates for Regional Staff Noncommissioned Officer Academies (SNCOAs) at seven locations worldwide, including Sergeants School, Career School, and Advanced School courses. Classes will operate at reduced capacity due to COVID-19 mitigation measures, with courses running from October 2021 through September 2022. Marines must complete distance education prerequisites and submit nominations through their MARFOR representatives at least 45 days prior to the reporting date.

1. This message announces the Fiscal Year 2022 (FY22) active duty class dates for the Regional Staff Noncommissioned Officer Academies (SNCOAs). These classes will be conducted at reduced capacity while COVID-19 mitigation measures are in place. Seat Allocations 3.A. Due to the current COVID-19 situation, the Enlisted College may adjust seats prior to a course commencing to maintain social distancing requirements. Command and Marine Forces (MARFORs) are highly encouraged to routinely check Marine Corps Training Information Management System (MCTIMS) to monitor for any seat allocation adjustments. The Enlisted College will not provide prior notification if Marines are dropped due to a seat allocation adjustment. 3.B. MARFORs are highly encouraged to fully utilize all available resident seat allocations and the College of Distance Education and Training (CDET) seminar to ensure their Marines become Professional Military Education (PME) complete. The Enlisted College will not provide Marines PME waiver letters as a result of limited school seats or because Marines were dropped from a class. 4. Coordinating Instructions 4.A. Attendees must complete the Enlisted College command screening checklist. The current version of the command screening checklist, reference (e) may be downloaded from the Enlisted College website, under the Education Resources section. The current version of reference (e) is dated Oct 18. Previous versions will be rejected. 4.B. School Prerequisites 4.B.1. The prerequisites for all schools can be located on the Enlisted College website in the Reporting Instructions section for each regional academy. 4.B.2. Duty Status: Academy Sergeants, Career, and Advanced School students may attend in a limited duty or pregnancy status with waivers that have been approved by the Director, College of Enlisted Military Education (CEME). See the instructions contained in reference (e) for specific guidance. When submitting your waiver do not send medical paperwork. 4.B.3. Non-Resident PME Requirement 4.B.3.a Each attendee must complete the distance education courses via the MarineNet learning management system prior to enrolling in the resident school. The appropriate distance education courses are listed below: 4.B.3.b EPME5000AA (Sergeants Course Distance Education Program) must be completed by the grade of E-5 to attend Sergeant School. 4.B.3.c EPME6000AA (Career Course Distance Education Program) must be completed by the grade of E-6 to attend Career School. 4.B.3.d EPME7000BA (Advanced School Distance Education Program) must be completed by the grade of E-7 to attend Advanced School. 4.B.3.e Each distance education course requires a proctor who is at least one rank higher than the individual taking the course and not enrolled in the same course or a MarineNet training manager. Proctors must take MarineNet class MNET0110PC (Proctor Certification Course) prior to being able to proctor any exams. 4.C. School Registration 4.C.1. Marines who must travel in order to attend PME at an academy (those who are not in the Continental United States (CONUS) and not co-located with a regional SNCOA), will register for a school seat at the MCB Quantico SNCOA in order to maximize the efficient use of school seats available at the SNCOAs. Marines from inside the local area of their regional SNCOA will have priority for seat registration. This does not apply to those students who are traveling to the Camp Butler SNCOA from other outside CONUS locations. 4.C.2. Units must submit their nominations through their respective MARFOR representative for registration in MCTIMS. All nominations, regardless of location, must be received by the respective MARFOR representative no later than 45 days prior to the school reporting date. 4.C.3. Students who have been registered in MCTIMS, and become unable to attend a scheduled school, must cancel their registration within the MCTIMS student module. Canceling a student's registration is the unit S-3/G-3 responsibility and shall be coordinated with their respective MARFOR representative. 5. Amplifying Instructions 5.A. Students must have detaching orders from their parent command prior to travel. Failure to report without the appropriate documents and endorsements may result in the students disenrollment from the school and the parent command being held financially responsible for all travel expenses. 5.B. Students who request to attend with a duty status waiver must be registered in MCTIMS in accordance with their respective MARFOR registration guidelines prior to the waiver being routed and approved. The duty status waiver does not guarantee a school seat. Duty status waivers should be submitted no earlier than 90 days out, and no later than 5 business days prior to a school reporting date. Commands will email the duty status waiver and the Command Screening Checklist to ceme_waivers@usmcu.edu to receive endorsement by the Director, CEME. 5.C. Specific instructions regarding reporting, uniforms, times, gear list, school material, messing instructions, and billeting availability is accessible via the Enlisted College website. 5.D. Commands must complete a TD temporary duty fitness report for prospective students prior to departure for temporary duty. 5.E. All students are highly encouraged to bring laptops or tablet devices to download student material for ease of use while attending the academy. Students may request a device from their S-6/G-6 when assets are available for temporary custody. 5.F. Students are encouraged to review the Enlisted College website for any additional information. 5.G. Reserve SNCOA school dates will be announced via separate correspondence. 6.
