2006 USMC Public Affairs Leaders Conference
The Division of Public Affairs will host the 2006 Marine Corps Public Affairs Leaders Conference at the Hilton Hotel in McLean, Virginia from August 28 to September 1, 2006, running concurrently with the U.S. Marine Corps Combat Correspondents Association Conference. All PA Directors and PA Chiefs are highly encouraged to attend this unit-funded conference, which will cover topics including the USMC Public Affairs Strategic Plan, OIF/OEF lessons learned, and PA equipment acquisition updates.

THE CONFERENCE RUNS CONCURRENTLY WITH THE U.S. MARINE CORPS COMBAT CORRESPONDENTS ASSOCIATION CONFERENCE (USMCCCA) FROM 29 AUG-3 SEPT 2006. USMCCCA CONFERENCE INFORMATION WILL BE SENT VIA SEPCOR; POCS FOR THE USMCCCA CONFERENCE ARE MR. JACK PAXTON (USMCCCA@CFL.RR.COM) AND MR. FRED LASH (FCLASH@VSECORP.COM). 2. THE USMC PA LEADERS CONFERENCE AGENDA WILL INCLUDE THE USMC PUBLIC AFFAIRS STRATEGIC PLAN, OIF AND OEF LESSONS LEARNED, THE NEW PA INTRANET AND MARINES BROADCASTING, AND UPDATES ON THE PA EQUIPMENT AQUISITION PROCESS. BRIEFINGS, DISCUSSIONS AND GUEST SPEAKERS RELEVANT TO THE PA OCCUPATIONAL FIELD WILL RUN CONCURRENT WITH THE USMCCCA CONFERENCE. 3. ALL PA DIRECTORS AND PA CHIEFS ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THE USMC PA LEADERS CONFERENCE. THE NEXT SENIOR PA REP IS WELCOME TO ATTEND IF THE DIRECTOR OR PA CHIEF IS UNABLE TO ATTEND. THE USMCCCA AWARDS DINNER AND CEREMONY IS THURSDAY, 31 AUGUST STARTING AT 1900. ALL USMC PA LEADERS CONFERENCE PARTICIPANTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND. 6.
