Change 2 to the Fiscal Year 2021 (FY21) Selective Retention Bonus (SRB) Program and FY21 Broken Service SRB (BSSRB) Program
This MARADMIN announces the termination of the Fiscal Year 2021 Selective Retention Bonus (SRB) program effective 30 June 2021, providing the required 30-day notice. Marines with an End of Contract (ECC) during FY21 will no longer be eligible for SRB if approved after 30 June 2021, though certain extension eligibility continues through 30 September 2021.

1. Purpose. To inform Commanding Officers of required changes to the FY21 SRB Program in order to support continuing force shaping efforts. 2. Background. By law, the termination of the fiscal year bonus authority requires 30 day notification. This MARADMIN serves as that notification. 3. Action. Commanding Officers will ensure their Marines fully understand the policy changes published in this message. All of the other provisions of the references remain in effect. 4. Per references (c) and (d), this message serves as the 30 day notification for the termination of the FY21 SRB program which will occur on 30 June 2021. Marines with an ECC during FY21 will no longer be eligible for an SRB if approved after 30 June 2021. A FY21 ECC is defined as: Any Marine who has an ECC on the date of reenlistment between 1 October 2020 and 30 September 2021. 5. Marines eligible for SRB amounts from 24 month extensions as detailed in reference (e) will remain eligible to submit for cross-FY extensions until 30 June 2021. Marines should refer to future SRB MARADMINS for updates to eligibility criteria. Prorated bonus amounts by PMOS for FY21 Marines detailed in reference (e) will be listed in the upcoming FY22 SRB program MARADMIN. These Marines will remain eligible for 24 month extensions from 1 July 2021 until 30 September 2021, regardless of bonus amounts. 6. This MARADMIN is not applicable to the Marine Corps Reserve. 7.
