Announcing Change 1 to MCO 1300.8 Marine Corps Personnel Assignment Policy
This MARADMIN announces Change 1 to MCO 1300.8, Marine Corps Personnel Assignment Policy. The change implements consideration of aviation-related qualifications in assigning aircrew and maintainers, and removes redundant Special Duty Assignment policy that is already covered in MCO 1326.6. This change applies to the entire Marine Corps total force.

1. Purpose. To announce Change 1 to reference (a). 2. Changes. Changes are as follows: 2.a. Page 1-1, paragraph 1.a., add statement. This change implements task number 2 of the Consolidated Disposition Authority. Specifically, to consider aviation related qualifications and designations in the assignment of Aircrew and Maintainers. 2.b. Pages 3-3 and 3-4, paragraph 5, remove paragraph 5 and subparagraphs 5.a., 5.b., and 5.c., shifting subparagraph 5.d. with both subparagraphs to become paragraph 5. This change removes redundancy in Special Duty Assignment (SDA) policy; reference (b) establishes policy and procedures for the assignment of enlisted Marines to screen-able billets. 3. This change is published electronically, and can be accessed online via the Marine Corps website at the Marine Corps Publications Electronic Library (MCPEL). 4.
