Manpower Management Realignment of Primary MOS (PMOS) 7315

This MARADMIN announces the immediate transfer of manpower management responsibility for Primary MOS 7315 (Unmanned Aerial Systems Officers) in the ranks of major and below from aviation ground monitors to fixed wing monitors. This change aims to create efficiencies within the UAS community and better align the MOS within Marine Aviation manpower management.

Issued: May 14, 2019
1. This MARADMIN provides information on the manpower management changes for the PMOS 7315 population.
2. In 2012, Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Officers were assigned the 7315 ground PMOS. In early 2014, UAS squadrons were moved from the Marine Air Control Groups to the Marine Aircraft Groups. In 2015, the Deputy Commandant for Aviation approved changes to the Assignment, Classification, and Travel System Manual (ACTSMAN) to include the PMOS 7315 as Aeronautically Designated Personnel (ADP) in the same manner as Naval Aviators and Naval Flight Officers. Currently, UAS Officers are managed by the aviation ground monitors.
3. Effective immediately, the PMOS 7315 population in the ranks of major and below will be managed by the fixed wing monitors to create efficiencies within the UAS community and more properly align the PMOS within Marine Aviation manpower management.
