Availability of MCTP 3-30D, Religious Ministry in the United States Marine Corps

This MARADMIN announces the availability of MCTP 3-30D, Religious Ministry in the United States Marine Corps, dated 04 Apr 2018, for electronic download. The updated publication consolidates three previous documents into a comprehensive guide for commanders, staffs, and religious ministry personnel supporting Marine air ground task force operations.

1.  The Deputy Commandant for Combat Development and Integration has approved the electronic distribution of MCTP 3-30D, Religious Ministry in the United States Marine Corps.  MCTP 3-30D, dated 04 Apr 2018, is available for download via the United States Marine Corps doctrine website at https:(slash)(slash)homeport.usmc.mil/sites/mcdoctrine/SitePages/Home.aspx.
2.  Background.  MCTP 3-30D, Religious Ministry in the United States Marine Corps, is a comprehensive publication that combines the original MCWP 6-12, Religious Ministry in the United States Marine Corps with MCRP 6-12A, Religious Ministry Team Handbook and MCRP 6-12C, The Commander's Handbook for Religious Ministry Support, to provide streamlined doctrine and guidance in support of religious ministry operations.  The complete revision included updated language, deletion of redundant material, and an additional chapter on expeditionary ministry.  This publication is intended for commanders, staffs, operational and tactical mission planners, and religious ministry personnel who plan and execute Marine air ground task force operations.  This publication supersedes MCTP 3-30D, Religious Ministry in the United States Marine Corps, dated 16 September 2009, cancels MCRP 3-30D.3, Religious Ministry Team Handbook and MCRP 3-30D.4, The Commanders Handbook for Religious Ministry Support.
3.  Coordinating instructions.  Reference (a) details steps required to request publication hard copies, however, this publication will be disseminated via electronic distribution only unless commanders submit compelling needs justification for printed copies.  Units requiring print allocations must follow procedures identified in reference (a), paragraph 4a(2).  For Marine Corps Publication Distribution System (MCPDS) identification purposes, the publication control number is 147 000031 00.
4.  This MARADMIN is applicable to Marine Corps total force.
