FY24 Special Technical Operations Planner Selection Panel Results
This MARADMIN announces the results of the FY24 Special Technical Operations (STO) Planner Selection Panel, which reviewed 27 applications and selected all 27 Marines for the 8016 Free Military Occupational Specialty (FMOS). Selected Marines must submit the memorandum to their Installation Personnel Administration Center to update their official records, and commanders are encouraged to utilize these Marines for STO efforts including exercise support, wargaming, and crisis operations.

1. Per reference (c), the Special Technical Operations Free MOS (8016) Selection Panel convened from 13-18 May 2024. The panel reviewed 27 applications and selected 27 Marines. The list of Marines selected is posted on the SIPRNET SharePoint at https:(slash)(slash)intelshare.intelink.sgov.gov/sites/USMC8016/SitePages/Home.aspx. A copy of the memorandum will also be distributed to USMC STO Chiefs at MEFs and MARFORs. 2. Marines are instructed to submit this memorandum to their local Installation Personnel Administration Center, which will enter the appropriate entry into their Official Military Personnel File to reflect the FMOS. 3. Commanders are encouraged to utilize Marines with the 8016 FMOS in accordance with reference (a) to provide material contribution to service STO efforts through exercise support, wargaming, and crisis and contingency operations. 4.
