1. Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Pride Month is celebrated each year in the month of June. During this month, we take the opportunity to recognize the contribution of our LGBT Service Members. 2. In January 2021, President Biden signed Executive Order 13988 Preventing and Combating Discrimination on the Basis of Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation. The policy says that "all persons should receive equal treatment under the law, no matter their gender identity or sexual orientation." The policy further calls on the heads of agencies throughout the United States Government to enforce prohibitions on discrimination and to revise, suspend, or rescind any policies that are contrary to creating an environment free from sex discrimination. Additionally, the President signed Executive Order 14004 Enabling All Qualified Americans To Serve Their Country in Uniform on 25 January 2021 which stated that "the All-Volunteer Force thrives when it is composed of diverse Americans who meet the rigorous standards for military service, and an inclusive military strengthens our national security." Both Executive Orders can be found on the Federal Register website at www.federalregister.gov. 3. The Marine Corps is committed to living the values we defend and treating everyone equally, and with dignity and respect. As such, the Marine Corps takes pride in building strength through diversity and is dedicated to promoting a professional environment free from personal, social, or institutional barriers that prevent Marines from reaching their full potential. 4.
