Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) and Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27) Ground and Intelligence Personnel Exchange Program Selection Board Results
This MARADMIN announces the results of the FY26 and FY27 Ground and Intelligence Personnel Exchange Program (PEP) selection board, which selected qualified Marines for assignment to billets embedded in the armed forces of allied and partner nations. Five Marines were selected as primaries for FY26 positions in the UK, Australia, and Canada, and five Marines were selected for FY27 positions in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, and Norway, with seven additional Marines selected as alternates.

The fiscal year 2026 (FY26) and fiscal year 2027 (FY27) Ground and Intelligence Personnel Exchange Program (PEP) selection panel convened on 5 May 2025 to select qualified Marines for assignment to PEP billets embedded in the armed forces of allies and partners. 2. Panel results 2.a. Coordinating instructions 3.a. Primary selectees. Primary selectees are to accept or decline via email to their PMOS monitor and will copy the email to International Affairs Program (IAP) personnel at IAPMarine@usmc.mil no later than 10 days after the release of this message. 3.b. Alternate selectees. No action is required on the part of the Marine on the alternate list in paragraph 2.b. In the event that a billet becomes vacant, Manpower Management will fleet-up the Marine from the alternate list. PMOS monitors will directly contact an alternate selected as a fleet-up. 3.c. Declinations and deferrals. Marines who decline assignment to a PEP billet must submit a declination in writing (AA form) via the first O6 in their chain of command addressed to HQMC via MMOA-3 NLT 10 days after the release of this message. Marines who decline will be ineligible for future PEP billets, unless otherwise approved by the Director, Manpower Management. 3.d. Deferrals. Marines selected for assignment to a PEP billet who are unable to execute orders due to extraordinary circumstances may request a deferral. If approved, the Director, Manpower Management will defer the Marine to a future PEP selection panel. Primary selectees may submit a deferral request in writing (AA Form) via the first O6 in their chain of command addressed to HQMC via MMOA-3. 3.e. The foreign language requirement is a minimum Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) score of (2-2) in the target language, with Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) score of at least 1 (plus). 3.e.2. Once a Marine accepts their selection, IAP personnel will contact the Marine with further information on required language training at the Defense Language Institute. 3.f. PEP tours with partner nations are subject to assignment in austere locations with limited access to quality of life and U.S. military health care services that are normally available to personnel assigned to USMC bases and stations. Routine healthcare will be reimbursed via the TRICARE Overseas program. Non-emergency travel to U.S. military treatment facilities may be authorized at government expense on a case-by-case basis, but only when healthcare cannot be provided locally under TRICARE overseas. 3.g. PEP personnel may qualify for special allowances which will defray some of the costs associated with independent, international duty. These may include cost of living allowance, temporary lodging allowance, and overseas housing allowance. These allowances may not cover all costs in all situations. All prospective PEP personnel must be financially stable and prepared to incur potential unexpected costs. All pay and allowances are paid by the USMC; therefore, USMC PEPs will not qualify for host nation funded special pay and allowances. 3.h. PEP Marines may be eligible to receive the FAO, RAO, or FAS additional MOS (AMOS) for their respective regions. Upon meeting the criteria for experience track AMOS designation, PEP Marines must notify the IAP Office to request designation of appropriate AMOS. The assignment of this AMOS will make PEP Marines eligible for further service utilization of their experience, and language, regional expertise, and cultural (LREC) capability gained through their PEP assignments with allies and partners. 4.
