Solicitation for the Equal Opportunity Advisor Program Fiscal Year 2019
This MARADMIN solicits applications for the FY19 Equal Opportunity Advisor (EOA) program. EOAs serve as special staff members to commanding officers at major Marine Corps commands, providing technical assistance on Military Equal Opportunity policies and programs. Qualified Staff Sergeants through Master Gunnery Sergeants must submit applications by October 31, 2018, for consideration to fill projected vacancies at various locations worldwide.

1. This MARADMIN solicits applications for the FY19 Equal Opportunity Advisor (EOA) program.<br> 2. EOAs are assigned to major Marine Corps commands to provide advice to supported commanders. Not only do they serve as a special staff member to the commanding officers to which assigned, they provide commanders with technical assistance on implementing Military Equal Opportunity (MEO) policies, programs and procedures.<br> 3. Individuals submitting for an EOA billet must meet the following basic criteria:<br> 5.a. Marine must be a Staff Sergeant through Master Gunnery Sergeant (due to billet requirements, First Sergeants and Sergeants Major are not eligible).<br> 5.b. Marine does not have any adverse fitness reports in grade.<br> 5.c. Marine does not have any history of prohibited activities and conduct or sexual assault allegations.<br> 5.d. Marine must have completed at least 24 months time on station upon class graduation and execution of PCS orders.<br> 5.e. Marine must be able to extend or reenlist to meet minimum of 36 months obligated service from the date of graduation from EOA course. Request for separation from the service while serving within the obligated active service will not receive favorable consideration.<br> 6. Marine applicants will meet with the regionally located EOA to be interviewed and screened prior to the command completing the Commanding Officers Screening/Interview Guide.<br> 7. NLT 31 October 2018, the completed packages must be submitted electronically using the Special Duty Assignment/EOA Duty RELM request in the Total Force Retention System (TFRS) to CMC (MMEA-25) via the normal RELM routing chain. Unit Career Planners have access to the TFRS program. In November 2018, MMEA will conduct a board to consider qualified applicants to fill projected vacancies.
