Marine Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Squadron (VMU) Transition Task Force Announcement
This MARADMIN announces the establishment of the VMU Transition Task Force (VMU TTF) to manage the transition of Marine Unmanned Aerial Vehicle squadrons from the RQ-21 Blackjack to the MQ-9A Block 5 Reaper and the divestment of the RQ-21 system. The task force will coordinate across multiple Marine Corps and Navy commands to execute this transition, with an initial planning conference scheduled for July 20-22, 2021 in Dallas, TX.

1. This MARADMIN announces the establishment of the VMU Transition Task Force (VMU TTF). 2. Per refs (D), (E) and (F) DCA is directed to transition the Marine Unmanned Aerial Vehicle squadrons from the RQ-21 Blackjack to the MQ-9A Block 5 Reaper and divest of the RQ-21. Through that direction DC CD&I has delegated authority to DCA to lead USMC organizations in support of the directed transition. The VMU TTF will be composed of those USMC organizations required to execute the transition effort. 3. In order to properly conduct the VMU TTF actions and objectives, DC CD&I and DC AVN request full cooperation and proponent participation. Providing the correct subject matter experts with access to the proper decision-making authority level will enable a continuity of effort. 4. To effectively support TTF the following commands are requested to support with appropriate representatives resident within their HQ as well as their applicable subordinate organizations. Non-governmental participation will be restricted only to those entities working under federal contract with DoN. Participation by any other non-government entity shall be authorized through the TTF Lead. 6. Coordinating Instructions. 6.a. The TTF will use an unclassified SharePoint website (hosted by Intelshare Intelink) as its primary collaborative medium to ensure proper TTF staffing channels are used and efficient staff work are completed by providing an effective formal communication, coordination, collaboration medium and document repository to include the VMU TTF Charter at https:(slash)(slash)intelshare.intelink.gov/sites/aceuattf/_layouts/15/start.aspx#/SitePages/VMU%20TTF.aspx 6.b. No later than 30 Jun 2021, request stakeholder organizations listed in 4. forward name, rank, unit, billet, email, and phone number to the POCs for this MARADMIN, create an intellink account and request access to the VMU TTF Website via the above link. 6.c. An initial planning conference (IPC) conference will be hosted by the TTF Lead Office in conjunction with the Marine Aviation Readiness Summit scheduled 20-22 Jul 2021 at the Hyatt Regency Dallas, 300 Reunion Blvd Dallas TX.
