FY22 Equal Opportunity Advisors Symposium

This MARADMIN announces the FY22 Equal Opportunity Advisors (EOA) Symposium, scheduled for 27-29 September 2022 at MCB Quantico, VA. All actively serving EOAs are encouraged to attend this professional development event focused on Prohibited Activities and Conduct (PAC), Command Climate (DEOCS), and equal opportunity matters. Attendees must arrange their own travel, with costs funded by their parent commands.

1.  The purpose of this MARADMIN is to announce and provide administrative instructions for the 2022 Equal Opportunity Advisors (EOA) Symposium.  The Opportunity, Diversity, and Inclusion Branch (MPE) will host the Symposium from 27-29 September2022 (Travel dates are 26 and 30 September), at the SNCO Club aboard MCB Quantico, VA in support of the continuing education for practicing EOAs.<br>
2. The mission of the EOA is to inform, assist, and advise on all Prohibited Activities and Conduct (PAC) and Command Climate (DEOCS) matters to commanding generals, commanders, and supervisors concerning equal opportunity and readiness issues.<br>
3.  Attendance at the EOA Symposium is critical to receive program updates, professional development, updated PAC, DASH and DEOCS training, improve and refine specific reporting knowledge and techniques, and address concerns unique to specific commands.<br>
4.  The symposium will be amplified through periods of instruction, panels,and guided discussions.<br>
5.  All actively serving EOAs are encouraged to attend.  Equal Opportunity Representatives (EOR) must provide justification to MPE and receive approval from MPE to attend, as seating is limited.<br>
6.  Attending individuals are responsible for their own travel arrangements.<br>
7.  All TAD (M&amp;IE, lodging, and transportation) and travel costs must be approved and funded by the parent command/organization.  There is no fee to attend. HQMC will not provide funding.<br>

9.  Uniform for the summit is woodland MARPAT combat utility uniform.<br>
