The Deputy Commandant for Combat Development and Integration's Capabilities Development Directorate (CDD) and the Air Land Sea Application (ALSA) Center have published the revised MCRP 3-31.4 [formerly MCRP 3-25H], KILL BOX PLANNING AND EMPLOYMENT, dated 18 June 2018. MCRP 3-31.4 may be downloaded via the USMC doctrine website at https:(slash)(slash)homeport.usmc.mil/sites/mcdoctrine/SitePages/Home.aspx. 2. Background. This publication (KILL BOX) is a multi-Service tactics, techniques, and procedures (MTTP) publication which provides a single source for planning and employing kill boxes. It is a descriptive reference guide to enable planners and warfighters to establish and control operations within kill boxes at the operational and tactical levels of warfighting. This MTTP outlines multi-Service planning procedures, coordination requirements, employment methods, and command and control responsibilities. It is consistent with joint doctrine and provides principles that can assist planners with coordinating, deconflicting, synchronizing, and implementing kill box procedures among the components assigned to a joint force. Information in this MTTP is designed to facilitate expeditious air-to-surface lethal target attacks, which may be augmented by, or integrated with, subsurface and surface-to-surface indirect fires.<br>
