Issued: August 21, 2024
1. This is a Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC) Safety Division (SD) message to announce a Fleet Marine Forces (FMF) Hospital Corpsman (LO3A) Training Pipeline Survey that applies to battalion/squadron-level and below Corpsmen and their respective commanders and officers-in-charge. 2. Historically, a training analysis is conducted as part of Training and Readiness (T&R) manual review. During the Health Services T&R Manual (NAVMC 3500.84B) review, training gaps were identified. Over the past two years, there have been several questions regarding the current state and sufficiency of the LO3A FMF Hospital Corpsman training pipeline, and the sustainment of knowledge, skills, and abilities, both at the Field Medical Training Battalions (FMTB) and in the FMF. 2.a. To understand these possible training gaps and answer the questions regarding the L03A – FMF Hospital Corpsmen training pipeline, Policy and Standards Division, Training and Education Command developed separate surveys for FMF Corpsmen, commanders, and officers-in-charge to complete. 2.b. Collected survey data will be analyzed to better understand the L03A – FMF Hospital Corpsman training pipeline, identify training gaps, and the sustainment of knowledge, skills, and abilities to improve the ground T&R process and inform the Health Services T&R Manual. 3. Beginning 1 September 2024 and ending no later than 1 December 2024, commanders and officers-in-charge will ensure the widest dissemination of this MARADMIN to all Corpsmen at battalion/squadron level and below and encourage maximum survey participation. 4. Online surveys should take no more than five minutes to complete and are accessible via computer or smartphone. 4.a. The Corpsman Survey is available at: https:(slash)(slash).semperfisurveys.org/survey/9991650 4.b. The Battalion/Squadron-Level Leadership (Commanders and Officers-in-Charge) Survey is available at: https:(slash)(slash).semperfisurveys.org/survey/6453158 5. Release authorized by Lieutenant General Gregg P. Olson, Director, Marine Corps Staff.
