Fiscal Year 2025 MAWTS-1 Commander's Course/ReBlack
MARADMIN 401/24 announces the Fiscal Year 2025 MAWTS-1 Commander's Course and ReBlack training event, scheduled for 4-6 February 2025 at MCAS Yuma, Arizona. The Commander's Course (4-5 Feb) is designed for current and prospective Aviation Combat Element commanders, while ReBlack (6 Feb) provides updates for Weapons and Tactics Instructors, FLSE program coordinators, and interested fleet aviators on current weapons, tactics, and community-specific issues.

1. Situation. In keeping with the Marine Corps Aviation Weapons and Tactics Training Program (WTTP), Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One (MAWTS-1) will host the annual Commanders Course/ReBlack on 04-06 February 2025 at MAWTS-1, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Yuma, Arizona. 2. Mission. MAWTS-1 prepares Aviation Combat Element (ACE) commanders and prospective ACE commanders, and updates Weapons and Tactics Instructors (WTI), and Flight leadership Standardization and Evaluation (FLSE) program coordinators on current weapons and tactics, and issues affecting their specific community while providing a forum to exchange information, promote standardization, and maximize operation effectiveness. 3. Execution. 3.a. Commanders Intent. 3.a.1. Purpose. To prepare prospective and current ACE commanders for command and provide WTIs, FLSE program coordinators, and all interested fleet aviators updates to their communities. 3.a.2. Method. Commanders Course/ReBlack will provide lectures, discussions, and breakout groups on important aviation topics. 3.a.3. Endstate. Current and prospective ACE commanders, WTIs, and FLSE program coordinators are better prepared for command and up to date on current weapons and tactics and issues affecting their specific communities. 3.b. Concept of Operations. MAWTS-1 conducts the course at MCAS Yuma once per Fiscal Year.M 3.c. Coordinating Instructions. 3.c.1. Eligibility. 3.c.1.a. Commanders Course: All VMM, HMLA, HMH, VMGR, VMA, VMFA, VMU, MWSS, MWCS, MASS, MALS, MACG, MWHS, MACS, and MAGTF (e.g. MEU, SPMAGTF, MRF-D) commanders and prospective commanders per REF B. Former O-5 and O-6 commanders from the aviation community are welcome to attend to support discussion groups and professional engagements. 3.c.1.b. Reblack: All WTIs, FLSE program coordinators, and all interested fleet aviators (space permitting). 3.c.2. FY25 course dates. 3.c.2.a. Commanders Course: 4-5 February 2025. 3.c.2.b. ReBlack: 6 February 2025. 3.c.2.c. Travel days are 3 and 7 February 2025. 3.c.3. Registration.
