FY21 Equal Opportunity Advisor EOA of the Year Award

This MARADMIN announces the FY21 Equal Opportunity Advisor (EOA) of the Year Award and solicits nominations. The award recognizes EOAs who demonstrated sustained superior performance that significantly impacted their commander's equal opportunity programs. Nomination packages must be submitted by 1 October 2020, and the selection board will convene around 8 October 2021.

1.  Purpose.  This MARADMIN nominations for the FY21 CMC Equal Opportunity Advisor (EOA) of the Year Award.
2.  The Opportunity, Diversity, and Inclusion Branch (MPE) will convene the FY21 EOA of the Year Award board on or about 8 October 2021.  Marines nominated for the EOA of the Year will have demonstrated sustained superior performance that significantly and positively impacted their commanding general or commander's equal opportunity programs.
3.  Applications must be submitted to the MPE POCs listed above no later than 1 October 2020.
4.  All nominees must meet the following criteria:
    a.  Servied as an EOA with AMOS/BMOS of 0147 during Fiscal Year 2021.
    b.  List of completed skill enhancing courses during the reporting period.
    c.  Display sustained superior performance that significantly and positively impacted mission accomplishment.
    d.  Meet all reenlistment requirements.
5.  All packages must at a minimum contain the following information:
    a.  Nomination letter endorsed by the first general officer in the chain of command.
    b.  Concise resume of qualifications including billet descriptions and the significant contributions of the EOA. 
    c.  A one page biography.
    d.  List of completed skill enhancing courses during the reporting period.
    e.  A copy of nominee's Basic Individual Record and Basic Training Record.
    f.  Copy of pages 3, 11, 12, and 13 from Service Record Book.
6.  The Marine selected as the EOA of the Year will be recognized via separate correspondence.
7.  Release authorized by BGen A. T. Williamson, Director, Manpower Plans and Policy.
