October 2024 Promotions for Staff Noncommissioned Officers (SNCOs) and November 2024 Planned Promotions for SNCOs
This MARADMIN announces October 2024 promotions for Staff Noncommissioned Officers (SNCOs) and provides planned promotion numbers for November 2024. The message directs commanders to effect promotions of selected Marines effective 1 October 2024, with 250 Gunnery Sergeants and 500 Staff Sergeants being promoted in October, and provides projected promotion schedules through May 2025.

1. Upon receipt of this Marine Administrative
Message (MARADMIN) and posting of the notification via Marine On
Line (MOL), but not prior to 1 October 2024, Commanders will
effect the promotion of selected Marines per paragraph 5100 of
reference (a). Cite this MARADMIN as authority for promotion.
2. For additional details regarding Obligated Service (OBS),
Sequenced Professional Military Education (PME), and Commander
requirements visit the Enlisted Promotions website at

These policies impact all fiscal year 2024 Staff Noncommissioned
Officer (SNCO) Promotion Selection Boards (PSB).
3. The numbers listed below indicate the senior number promoted the
previous month and the total number of Marines being promoted for
the current month per reference (g). Numbers may not always add up
due to noncompetitive selections (WO, MECEP selects; assigned a
seniority number with an alpha letter), discharges, promotion
restrictions, and activation of alternates.
