Solicitation of Articles for the March 2026 Installations & Logistics Issue of the Marine Corps Gazette
MARADMIN 440/25 solicits articles for the March 2026 Installations & Logistics issue of the Marine Corps Gazette from all civilian, military, and contractor personnel within the Marine Corps Installations and Logistics Enterprise (MCILE). Articles should address future logistics capabilities and align with one or more of five lines of effort: improve sustainment, make installations ready for contested environments, diversify distribution, create global logistics awareness, and develop MCILE professionals for the 21st Century.

1. The March 2026 Marine Corps Gazette Installations & Logistics issue will feature articles from across the Marine Corps Installations and Logistics Enterprise (MCILE). Operations Branch (LPO) within DC I&L (LP) will consolidate articles for this annual issue. The intent is to publish articles aligned with the five lines of effort in Ref (b) and the guidance in Ref (c).// 2. Purpose. This annual solicitation seeks to encourage members of the MCILE to explore issues and propose creative ideas for sustaining the force in the future operating environment.// 3. Theme. The Marine Corps has made significant progress in future force modernization, requiring shifts in how we support and sustain MAGTF lethality. Logistics remains the pacing function in a distributed, contested environment. Authors should focus on advancing future logistics capabilities, capacities, training and education, organizational design, and/or logistics process improvements. 3.a. Submit an article aligned with one or more of the five lines of effort below: 3.a.1. Improve sustainment 3.a.2. Make installations ready for a contested environment 3.a.3. Diversify distribution 3.a.4. Create global logistics awareness 3.a.5. Develop MCILE professionals for the 21st Century 4. Eligibility. This solicitation is open to all civilian, military, and contractor personnel within the MCILE who are interested in contributing. Authors of articles must provide a clear thesis and support evidence to compel further exploration of the topic.// 5. Guidelines.// 5.a. Submission Requirements. Articles should be submitted in accordance with the following:// 5.a.1. Article Length: 1500-2000 words 5.a.2. Article Format: Typewritten in Microsoft Word, Times New Roman font, 12-point font, double-spaced. Title as header; page numbers centered as footer.// 5.a.2.a. Cover Page: include centered article title or thesis statement, related sustaining the force line of effort, author's name/rank/billet, email address, mailing address, and synopsis (not to exceed 150 words). do not include a page number on the cover page.// 5.a.2.b. Graphs/Figures: Microsoft Powerpoint, highest possible resolution, include creator name, include location for placement Within article body.// 5.a.2.c. Photos: JPEG, PNG, or TIF, highest possible resolution, include photographer name, provide short caption if desired, include Location for placement within article body.// 5.a.3. Submission: Email articles to LPO Points of Contact listed above.// 5.b. Submission Timeline. Mar 2026 - Installations & Logistics issue published in the Marine Corps Gazette// 6. Selection and Publication. All submissions will be considered for publication. An article evaluation board comprised of representatives from Logistics Plans & Operations Division (LP), Marine Corps Logistics Command (LOGCOM), and Marine Corps Installations Command (MCICOM) will review and rank submissions. Top-ranked articles will be approved by DC, I&L and submitted to the Marine Corps Gazette for print and online publication.// 7. Release authorized by Lieutenant General Stephen D.
