Call for Participation in the 2017 Association of Naval Services Officers Eastern Region Symposium
This MARADMIN announces the 2017 Association of Naval Services Officers (ANSO) Eastern Region Symposium on 12-13 September 2017 at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT. The symposium provides Hispanic officers, civilian executives, enlisted personnel, and senior leaders from naval services with professional development, networking, and mentoring opportunities. CMC (MPE) will fund registration fees for the first 20 Marines who apply, with commanders authorized to use TAD funding for additional expenses.

1. This MARADMIN announces the 2017 Association of Naval Services Officers (ANSO) Eastern Region on 12 – 13 September 2017 at the Officers Club, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, 15 Mohegan Ave, New London, CT 06320.<br> 2. ANSOs mission is to bring together Hispanic officers, civilian executives, enlisted personnel, and other senior leaders in the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and maritime industry to learn from, network with, and mentor one another, as well as conduct professional development training. The intent of this symposium is to provide a broad cross-section of leadership with exposure, training, and unique networking opportunities.<br> 3. Subject to conference approval, CMC (MPE) will fund participation within a limited scope. MPE will only pay the registration fees for 20 Marines. MPE funded registrations are on a first come, first served basis. Commanders are authorized to use command TAD funding for those Marines whose registration is funded by MPE. Rental cars are not authorized. Commanders may also utilize PTAD or authorize leave for Marines to attend. Marines in a PTAD and/or leave status will be required to pay their own expenses which includes registration, transportation, lodging and any other travel expenses.<br> 4. Registration information is as follows: Marines who wish to attend, but do not have their registration funded by MPE, may register online with their personal funds at http:(slash)(slash)www.ansomil.org. The registration fee is 200 dollars.<br> 5. Marines may contact MPE POC to obtain conference reservations NLT 8 September 2017.<br> 6. More information can be found on the ANSO website at www.ansomil.org.<br> 7. The uniform of the day for Marines attending is Service "C" with ribbons.<br> 8.
