1. In support of the references, this MARADMIN announces the Civilian Workforce Professional Development Self-Assessment Program (CWPDAP) Pilot established by the Civilian Workforce Management Branch (MPC). The CWPDAP will provide civilian Marines with access to relevant feedback that will help them in their individual development and foster continued growth and excellence.
2. CWPDAP assessments are online and are available to all civilian Marines. These online assessments are questionnaires that enable individuals to use a structured, objective approach to determine their strengths and developmental needs. The assessments can be either stand-alone, where the employee is the only source of review, or a 360-Review where the employee can invite others to participate in the assessment process. Detailed information on the CWPDAP and how to request an assessment can be found on the MPC Civilian Workforce Development website located at: https:(slash)(slash)www.manpower.usmc.mil WFD.
3. Commanders are highly encouraged to disseminate this information to all employees and supervisors. Although each employee is primarily responsible for developing in their chosen careers, managers and supervisors share that responsibility with them per references (b) and (c).
4. The CWPDAP pilot will run through June 2018. At the end of the pilot period, MPC will review participation rates and evaluate the value of continuing to offer this type of professional development support.
5. From August to October 2017, the Civilian Workforce Planning and Development Section (MPC-30) will host live training on the CWPDAP pilot via online Defense Connect Services (DCS) demonstration sessions. Continued promotion will be provided via local Command Training Managers and Human Resources Development Strategic Advisors.
6. Release authorized by SES J. W.
