Change 1 to Convening of the FY19 U.S. Marine Corps Colonel, Lieutenant Colonel, Major, and Captain Promotion Selection Boards
This MARADMIN announces a change to the FY19 U.S. Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel Continuation Board criteria. The change clarifies that the board will consider 100 percent of fully qualified regular unrestricted lieutenant colonels with specific MOS designations (4302, 7315, 8059, and 8061) who are not on the colonel promotion list and face mandatory retirement between August 1, 2018, and July 1, 2019.

1. This MarAdmin announces a change to para 3.a of the ref. Para 3.a should read: FY19 USMC Lieutenant Colonel Continuation Board. The board will consider and continue 100 percent of those fully qualified regular unrestricted lieutenant colonels who have skills in MOS 4302, 7315, 8059 and 8061, who are not on a list of officers recommended for promotion to colonel and who will have mandatory retirement dates between 1 August 2018 and 1 July 2019. The officers selected for continuation will be continued on active duty for a period of 3 years, or 31 years of active commissioned service, or until the age of 62, whichever is earlier.<br> 2.
