FY26 Staff Noncommissioned Officer Promotion Board Schedule and Policies
This MARADMIN announces the FY26 Staff Noncommissioned Officer (SNCO) promotion board schedule for all components of the Marine Corps, with boards convening from October 2025 through July 2026. It provides guidance on board eligibility, correspondence deadlines, and references recent policy changes affecting enlisted promotions. All correspondence to board presidents must be received no later than 10 days prior to each board's convene date.

1. This Marine Administrative Message (MARADMIN)
announces the Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) United States Marine Corps
(USMC) Staff Noncommissioned Officer (SNCO) Promotion Selection
Board (PSB) schedule and provides additional guidance regarding
enlisted promotions. The FY26 USMC SNCO PSB schedule is:

SMCR/IRR SNCO 08 Jul 2026 (7 weeks)
2. All correspondence submitted to the President of the board must
be received no later than 2359, Eastern Standard Time (EST) 10 days
prior to the convene date of the applicable board.

5.a. Reference D cancelled MARADMIN 474/21.
5.b. Reference L will expire on 1 October 2025, reinstating twice
failed for selection for SMCR and IRR Marines.
5.c. Reference N cancelled outdated MARADMINs regarding promotions.
Additionally, this MARADMIN serves as the primary reference
regarding required obligated service requirements for promotions.
