Announcement of SECNAV Notice 5210 for the Implementation of New Department of the Navy Bucket Records Schedules
This MARADMIN announces the publication of SECNAV Notice 5210, which implements new Department of the Navy bucket records schedules approved by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). All chapters except Chapter 3 of SECNAV M-5210.1 CH 1 are updated with new disposition schedules that must be implemented immediately for the disposal of DON records.

1. This MARADMIN announces the publication of ref (a). 2. All chapters (except for chapter 3) of ref (b) are updated with new disposition schedules which were approved by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) and are required for the disposal of DON records. 3. Chapter 3 of ref (b) is under NARA review and pending approval. 4. Per ref (a), the new NARA-approved schedules shall be implemented effective immediately. 5.
